Hi, I am Shamita Collins the owner and director of Rising Starz Early Learning Center. I am the mother of 4 beautiful children and a wife to my amazing husband for 15 years. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Southern University A & M College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. I opened the childcare center over 6 years ago simply because I love children. I enjoy meeting and building lifelong partnerships with so many wonderful families. I also enjoy seeing all our babies grow and develop right before our eyes. It is very heartwarming and rewarding to see the impact we have on the children in our community.
Rising Starz Early Learning Center mission is to provide quality childcare in a safe, nurturing, and educational environment at an overall affordable rate and to promote our teachers and staff to experience professional and personal growth.
While participating in our program, we hope to build a lasting partnership, between home and the center, which will benefit the development of your child.
Children develop at different steps and present a wide range of strengths and weaknesses. It is our profession that children learn best through hands-on, stimulating, engaging activities. We are committed to providing a fun, rewarding program with lessons that allow children to use their imagination, the exploration of the five senses, and the discovery of children’s interest.
